211US Steering Committee Membership Application

211US Purpose

211US Steering Committee is a select group of 211 leaders that liaisons between the two national leadership organizations (AIRS and UWW) and the field, lifting up the needs and values of the 2-1-1 network (regardless of affiliation). The Committee collaborates with stakeholders, promotes mutual support, and ensures: strategic alignment, continuous system improvement, and the advancement of its mission to assure that 211 is “excellent, everywhere and always.”

2016-2017 Priorities

Now into its ninth year of service to the national 211 network, the 211US Steering Committee remains focused on encouraging the development of diversified, multi-channel 211 systems that are high quality, dependable, and fully accessible in every state.

In October, 2015, the 211US Steering Committee established the following priorities for calendar years 2016 and 2017.

  1. Engage, collect and share strategic and operational information across the national 211 Network via surveys, regular information sharing forums and through a dedicated AIRS conference track. Lift up best practices and inspiring voices from inside and outside the network.
  2. Collaborate on the development of current and future UWW/211 Compact objectives by actively participating and championing compact work plans and outcomes, as appropriate. Inform the development of AIRS standards.
