What is Probation?
There are two types of probation: 1.) Serving time in jail and then being put on probation after completing jail time. 2.) Going on probation instead of going to jail.

In Connecticut, juvenile and adult probation is the responsibility of the State Judicial Branch through local Superior Courts’ probation offices.
