Free Narcan and QPR Training – Wallingford

Training features QPR Suicide Prevention Training and includes overdose prevention strategies, signs and symptoms of overdose, how to administer Naloxone, Good Samaritan Law and support information and resources.

Narcan kits are available.  Registration is appreciated, walk-ins welcome.  Please call Victoria at 203.927.7566 or email programdirector@cbwlfd.org.

 

What is Narcan?

Narcan (naloxone) is an opiate antidote. Opioids include heroin and prescription pain pills such as oxycodone, codeine and morphine. Narcan is a prescription medicine that blocks the effects of opioids and reverses an overdose.

Who can be prescribed Narcan?

Trained individuals are allowed to possess and administer Narcan to a person having an overdose
