DESCRIPTION:“Walking Big for Parkinson’s\,” a fundraiser to support activities at RVNAhealth’s Parkinson’s Center\, will take place on September 7 from 9am – noon. The walk will begin and end at the RVNA Health parking lot\, 27 Governor Street in downtown Ridgefield. \nRegistration is from 9am-10am\, followed by opening ceremonies. The walk will begin at 10:30am with an after-party with food and refreshments to follow for all registrants. \nTwo walk options will be offered: a half-mile loop and a 1.5-mile loop. Participants will receive T-shirts. Music will be provided by Big Daddy\, Sean McKee! \nRVNAhealth is a non-profit Medicare-certified home healthcare agency that serves 35+ towns in Western Connecticut. Funds raised from this walk will support free monthly educational sessions\, bi-monthly support groups\, and scholarships for the Parkinson’s Boot Camp. DESCRIPTION:The Bridgeport International Film Fest will bring three days of films\, workshops\, and panel discussions to the Klein Memorial Auditorium September 13-15\, 2024. \nThis year’s festival will feature more than 100 independent short films from 12 different countries\, organized into 16 thematic programming blocks\, showcasing diverse voices and perspectives.
