DESCRIPTION:The Meriden Public Library\, in partnership with the Meriden Health Department\, will host a Teddy Bear Clinic for preschool and school-age children from 4:30pm-6pm on April 23. The clinic will take place in the Children’s Storytime Room at the library\, located at 105 Miller Street in Meriden. \nChildren ages 3 and up will have a chance to play doctor with their favorite stuffed animal and learn about medical equipment\, such as the stethoscope and otoscope. The clinic is designed to alleviate children’s fears about visiting the doctor and to help them develop confidence for upcoming office visits. \nParents are asked to bring their children’s favorite bear or other stuffed animal.
