DESCRIPTION:The Storrs Congregational Church Holiday Fair will take place from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday\, Dec. 6\, and from 11 a.m. until 1 pm. Sunday\, Dec. 7\, in the church Parish House\, 2 North Eagleville Road. \nThe fair supports two good causes: Seventy-five percent of the proceeds will go to the Windham Area Interfaith Ministry (WAIM) general fund\, which helps hundreds of area families each year stay housed and keep the heat and lights on. Twenty-five percent will benefit the Storrs Congregational Church Minister’s Discretionary Fund\, which responds to community members’ requests for emergency financial assistance. \nThe holiday fair will feature a variety of items suitable for holiday gift-giving. Shoppers will find gifts\, holiday tag sale items\, fresh sprays and centerpieces\, poinsettias\, plants\, crafts\, jewelry\, quilted and fabric items\, greeting cards\, baked goods\, pecans\, and homemade soups.
