There will be a viewing of the documentary “Suicide The Ripple Effect” & Panel Discussion. The film is a story of Kevin Hines, at age 19 attempted to take his own life by jumping from the Golden Gate Bridge. Since then Kevin has been on a mission to use his story to help others stay alive & find recovery.
Due to the sensitive topic material the suggested age is 12+ for viewing the film, however this will be left to parent/guardian discretion.
After the film there will be a Community Wellness Resource Fair to learn about support & how to access help for yourself or others in need.
Film: 1:00 – 2:30pm
Panel Discussion: 2:30 – 3pm
Community Wellness Resource Fair: 2:30pm – 4pm
Simultaneous child care & activities will be provided, including a reading of “Gizmo’s Pawesome Guide to Mental Health” also, appearances of Gizmo and Gadget (therapy dogs). Refreshments will be served.
