Homeownership Seminar in Willimantic – 3-10-2026

“Making Homeownership Possible,” a seminar for prospective homeowners, will take place March 10 from 5:30pm–7:30pm at The Windham Senior Center, 1 Jillson Square in Willimantic.
The seminar is sponsored by the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority (CHFA). It is free and open to the public.
Attendees can expect to learn about affordable mortgage programs, down payment assistance opportunities, and the practical steps needed to prepare for purchasing a home.
Guidance will be presented on:
- CHFA mortgage options with competitive interest rates
- Down payment and closing-cost assistance programs
- The homebuying process
- HUD-approved housing counseling agencies and resources
