Free Legal Clinics from the Connecticut Bar Association and Statewide Legal Services – 4-21-2026 & 4-22-2026
The free legal clinics will be held on Tuesday, April 21, and Wednesday, April 22, from 10am to 6pm on Zoom. Pre-registration is required. Sign up by April 3.
To pre-register, visit the Connecticut Bar Association website at https://ctbar.org/freelegaladviceclinics
There are no income or asset eligibility restrictions – the clinics are open to all Connecticut residents. In addition, the CBA will make every effort to find an interpreter for anyone who requests that service.
Participants may meet with a volunteer lawyer for 30 minutes to receive free legal advice for questions about civil (not criminal) law in the following areas:
- Debt Collection
- Employee Rights
- Immigration Law
- Landlord/Tenant
- Family Law
- Tax Law
- Bankruptcy
- Pardons
Volunteer lawyers will provide brief legal advice on the date of the clinic. They will not continue to represent you, file documents in court, or go to court with you.
Before the clinic, you will receive a call from a volunteer to learn more about your legal question. It is important that you speak to the volunteer so that the organization can match you with an attorney.
If you have any questions about the clinic or need help with how to use Zoom, email FreeLegalAdviceClinic@ctbar.org or call 877-410-7221 (when leaving a message please refer to “Free Legal Advice Clinic”).
