September is National Preparedness Month and United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut invites volunteers to participate in an educational and volunteer activity that supports family disaster and emergency planning while honoring the sacrifice of those who lost their lives or those of family members on September 11, 2001.
To prepare families for emergencies, volunteers will equip them with the knowledge to prepare and practice for emergencies by assembling Family Emergency Preparedness Kits.
All CDC health and safety guidelines will be followed if applicable.
