Bridgeport International Film Fest – 9-12-2024 – 9-15-2024

The Bridgeport International Film Fest will bring three days of films, workshops, and panel discussions to the Klein Memorial Auditorium September 13-15, 2024.

This year’s festival will feature more than 100 independent short films from 12 different countries, organized into 16 thematic programming blocks, showcasing diverse voices and perspectives. Screening sites will include The Connecticut State Community College at Housatonic, Park City Music Hall, Berlinetta Brewing, Elicit Brewing Co., Trevi Lounge and Black Rock Theater.

The festivities will kick off with an exciting Opening Night Kick-Off Party on Thursday, September 12th, at Park City Music Hall from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Attendees will enjoy a lively evening with a DJ, complimentary bites, cash bar, games and entertainment to start the weekend of film screenings, panel discussions, and networking events.

Highlights of the 2024 program include:

• ”Luther: Never Too Much” – The Connecticut premiere of the upcoming music documentary of the R&B legend will be the Spotlight Screening on Saturday, September 14th at 6:30 p.m.
• “In Our Backyard: Connecticut Filmmakers” – Celebrating films made by local talent from Bridgeport and other areas of Connecticut on Friday, September 13 at 6:00 p.m.
• ”Reel Women, Real Stories” – Highlighting the works of female-identifying filmmakers and their powerful stories on Saturday, September 14 at 2:30 p.m.
• “OutTakes: Queer Stories” – A special focus on LGBTQIA+ voices, celebrating the diversity within the community on Saturday, September 14 at 8:30 pm.
• “The Latin Lens” – Launching Hispanic Heritage Month on Sunday, September 15th at 2:30 p.m., with films by Latino creators.

The Bridgeport Film Fest is a collaboration with the 501(c)(3) non-profit organization City Lights/Bridgeport Art Trail.
