Free Overdose Education and Naloxone (Narcan) Training – 2-26-2024

Central Connecticut Health District (CCHD) is sponsoring free overdose education and naloxone (Narcan) training from 6pm-8pm, Monday, Feb. 26 at the Rocky Hill Community Center Art Room.

Topics to be covered include:

• Overdose prevention strategies
• How to recognize the signs of an opioid overdose
• How to administer the overdose reversal drug naloxone
• The role of harm reduction in the opioid public health crisis
• The Good Samaritan Law

Dinner will be provided. Free Narcan and harm-reduction supplies will be offered to participants.

CCHD is the local health district for the towns of Berlin, Newington, Rocky Hill, and Wethersfield.

The training will be presented by Sara Piatti, CCHD Recovery Coach.
