Hamden Black History Program – 2-27-2026

The Hamden Black History Committee and the Mayor’s Office will host their annual Black History Month program from 6pm-8:30pm, Friday, February 27, at Thornton Wilder Auditorium, 2901 Dixwell Avenue in Hamden.
This year’s theme is “Against All Odds…We Still Rise….” It will feature speakers, entertainment, and refreshments, and will raise money for book awards to graduating Hamden High School students.
The program is supported by the Cultural Affairs & Human Services Department.
