The book A Woman’s Way through the 12 Steps empowers women to take ownership of their recovery and to grow and flourish in sobriety. Dr. Stephanie Covington is an international expert in trauma and gender and will highlight how women use the steps and share their wisdom and inspiration.
Part of the Covington Curriculum Conference 2019, this is a special event open to the public on the evening of Wednesday, June 5th. This event is open to women in recovery, their families, recovery agencies who wish to bring women and children as well as conference attendees. Theses public tickets are FREE while conference attendee tickets are included with a conference ticket and also come with professional credits.
The event is located in the Grove Ballroom at the Hilton, Stamford, Connecticut. See transportation & parking. Coffee and refreshments will be available.

If you are a person in recovery and would like to remain anonymous you may use a different first or last name during registration. There will be registration at the front door and you have a couple of options, you may give your name/or the name you’ve chosen on your ticket, hand us the ticket without your name, or if you are a group program or agency bring your ticket and let us know how many people have arrived. There will be a mix of professionals as well as those in recovery.
FAMILIES & CHILDREN
Attendees have brought their children in the past. We welcome all, but please note that this is a presentation, for those with small children we suggest bringing coloring books and other items to keep young ones preoccupied and there will be some quiet space in the hall for those with newborns. Children must be accompanied at all times.
