Stepping into School: Parent Tools for Readiness – 3-15-2026
CT Hands & Voices presents “Stepping into School: Parent Tools for Readiness,” a seminar for parents of deaf and hearing-impaired children ages two to ten. The seminar will begin at 10am, Sunday, March 15, at the Stonington Community Center, 28 Cutler Street, Stonington.
Parents and caregivers can attend while children play games and complete crafts in the neighboring room, watched by staff with experience in early childhood education. Lunch will be served following the presentation.
Attendees will also be given passes for a free and exclusive playtime experience that afternoon from 1-3pm at the Niantic Children’s Museum. The museum is closing its doors to allow for a sensory-friendly experience for the group. The presenters from the morning’s educational session will also be available at the museum to answer questions.
The seminar is offered in collaboration with Hear to Help and the HELLO Lab.
