Just in time for holiday gift-giving, the Storrs Congregational Church Holiday Bazaar will take place from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, and from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8 at 2 North Eagleville Road in Storrs-Mansfield.
The public is invited.
The Bazaar will feature a variety of items suitable for holiday gift-giving. Shoppers will find holiday tag sale items, fresh holiday greens, plants, crafts, jewelry, quilted and fabric items, greeting cards, baked goods, and homemade soups. Also available will be handmade fair-trade gifts from SERRV International, a nonprofit that supports small-scale artisans and farmers from around the globe.
The event supports two good causes: Seventy-five percent of the proceeds will go to the Windham Area Interfaith Ministry (WAIM) General Fund, which helps hundreds of area families each year stay housed and keep the heat and lights on. Twenty-five percent will benefit the Storrs Congregational Church Minister’s Discretionary Fund, which responds to community members’ requests for emergency financial assistance.
