“What Every Parent Needs to Know” – West Hartford Prevention Partnership – 5-11-2026

The West Hartford Prevention Partnership, in cooperation with West Hartford Public Schools, is hosting “What Every Parent Needs to Know,” a program on high-potency marijuana products and teen mental health.
The program will take place on Monday, May 11, at 6 p.m. at Bristow Middle School, 34 Highland Street in West Hartford.
The event is for parents, community members, and concerned adults. It will address the effect of today’s high-THC marijuana on adolescent brain development, mental illness, and suicide. The featured speaker will be Laura Stack, author of “The Dangerous Truth About Today’s Marijuana: Johnny Stack’s Life and Death Story.”
