Budget Coaching

In United Way’s Volunteer Budget Coaching program, volunteer coaches work one-on-one with families to review, understand and make plans for their personal finances.

Volunteer Budget Coaching is an opportunity for caring volunteers to help working families follow the path to long-term financial security. Budget coaches receive training and support in order to provide advice and guidance to participants in creating attainable personal financial goals. Over the course of a six month period, they identify net earnings, track expenses, reduce spending, increase savings, and collaborate to create a budget that participants can use to manage their finances in the future.
