Homebuyer Workshop – Hartford – 6-9-2026

The downtown Hartford Public Library, 500 Main Street, is hosting a workshop for prospective homebuyers on Tuesday, June 9, from 12pm-1:30pm.
Topics to be covered include:
- How the home‑buying process works: how to search for a home, make an offer, and close the deal.
- Types of mortgages and loan programs: fixed vs. adjustable rates, FHA loans, first‑time buyer programs, and down‑payment assistance.
- How to work with real‑estate professionals: what agents, lenders, inspectors, and attorneys do and how they help.
- How to avoid common mistakes and scams: recognize red flags, understand contracts, and protect yourself legally and financially.
