Stop Hate Together – Newington – 6-8-2026
The public is invited to attend, “Stop Hate Together,” a program sponsored by the Connecticut Department of Emergency Services & Public Protection to address how state and community governments are responding to hate crimes.
The event is scheduled for Monday, June 8, from 6pm-7:30pm, at the Newington Town Council Chambers, 200 Garfield Street, in Newington.
Learn how hate crimes are identified, reported, and investigated — and how individuals can play a role in preventing them.
Participants include: Newington Chief of Police Christopher Perry, Rocky Hill Chief of Police Brian Klett, Berlin Chief of Police Matt McNally, Cromwell Chief of Police Steven Penn, Wethersfield Chief of Police Rafael Medina, the Connecticut State Police Hate Crimes Investigative Unit, and State’s Attorney for Judicial District of New Britain Christian M. Watson.
