This online facilitation and financial planning training will be held January 30 from 12pm–2pm on Zoom.
The workshop addresses the need to nurture, empower, and educate families of children with mental health, behavioral, or emotional challenges. It is aimed at facilitators or those who are interested in facilitating support groups.

The training is sponsored by Favor, Inc., a statewide, family-led, nonprofit that is committed to empowering families as advocates and partners in improving educational and health outcomes for children.
Speakers will be Favor Inc.’s Lisa Girard, family systems manager (Region 3), and Jenny Bridges, interim executive director.
The training will cover the following skills: listening awareness, communication skills, stages of human emotional response, strategies for handling challenging behaviors, facilitator skills and strategies, what makes a good support group, and support group member responsibilities.
